Preparation
I booked my interview for 9:45am on Tuesday the 10th and made sure to wear appropriate clothing to go in. I also made sure to look into typical questions that are often asked during interviews, these included:
- "Why do you think you are suitable for the position?"
- "What is your greatest strength?"
- "What are your weaknesses?"
- "What skills do you believe you will need for this role"
- "How would you handle a large workload with a little amount of time?"
- "What interests you about the position/company"
Reflection
After my interview I got the scores:
Q1 - 4
Q2 - 3
Q3 - 3
Q4 - 4
Media question - 4
Verbal and body language - 4
Timeliness - 5
Appropriate Personal Presentation - 3
Technical Language and Terminology - 4
Asking Pertinent Questions - 1
Attitude (prof prac) - 4
Following these results, I will make sure to improve the vocabulary I use when answering questions and include more technical language in reference to the industry as well as dress a little less casually to make myself look more presentable. I will also make sure to ask a question as I now know it is beneficial to do so to learn more about the company I would be getting interviewed by as well as get more information on if the position is a good position for me.
