Statement & Career Goals

I will be researching into universities as that is the route I wish to take after college to further my knowledge of topics within the industry and better my skills for the job roles I wish to have in the future. I will also be looking into future jobs and what is required by those members of a crew to learn what skills are needed for them as well as the impact of that role during production. Looking into jobs will be a beneficial thing to do as it may show other roles I am currently unaware of that will suit my skill set and match my interests more than the ones I currently wish to have.

Short-Term Goal

My short term goal for the next year is to get into and successfully get the grades I need to get into university. I would also like to get a part time job to help support myself while going through university and allow myself to be able to buy things that can help me within the course. During this time I would like to improve my directing and camera skills further as well as my editing skills to allow me to achieve my mid and long term goals easier.

Mid-Term Goal

A mid-term goal I hope to complete within the next few years is to create a short film that I can bring forward and present at film festivals as not only will it show my skill development, but also help to show other employers and creators my passion in the industry. I would also like to successfully complete university and come out with the highest grades I can.

Long-Term Goal

My long term career goal is to work my way though the film industry and eventually become a director which the the main industry role I wish to succeed in. Following the role of being a director, I would also hope to successfully create and produce a feature length film to be released globally.
